Part I of the Around the World Series

First stop on the RTW trip.

We arrived on Sept. 5th after 26 hours of travel. Felt jetlag. Recovered with our friends at the Holiday Inn. And once we got over the 12 hour time change, we spent just enough time to snap a few pictures and get out.

Singapore is an astoundingly clean city filled with shopping malls filled with escalators. Here are just a few of the pictures I took in the town.

Don’t miss the Durian ice cream in bread at the end. Quite the cultural experience.

Next stop: Thailand

Yesterday was such a beautiful day that I just had to be outside. Frannie and I headed out for an engagement photo shoot in a field with Frannie’s friends Gage & Laura. We experimented a lot with some pocket wizards and a pair of 480 EX’s.

Last weekend I shot for Other People’s Property. They brought in a beautiful set of models and amazing clothes. Other People’s Property find amazing pieces of forgotten clothing, revamps them, and then resells them to help benefit charities and reduce our clothing footprint. It was a great cause and a fun shoot.

We shot in the Peabody Hotel. Location secured by Sabrina Cooper of Black Castle Productions.

We used two 480EX via Pocketwizards with a range of bounces, reflectors, gels and diffusion. Shot mostly with the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS.

I got the chance to film at Grace Fellowship Church’s awesome Christmas Eve extravaganza. Aaron Keyes among other talented worship leaders–including a rather large children’s choir–where in attendance. Had a really great time. I think around 8,000 other people did too.

Ballyhoo performed at the Social last Saturday night. Had a great time shooting them. Great music too. Check’em out.
