Boyd Hobbs, is an award-winning narrative and commercial Director of Photography from Atlanta. He graduated from Full Sail University, where his 35mm thesis, Loves Me Not, won the 2011 ASC Student Heritage Award for outstanding Cinematography. Boyd is currently completing his MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute, shooting music videos and commercial projects nationally, and prepping for his thesis next year.
Boyd is experienced in both film and digital capture and specializes in narrative cinematography. He has a background and certification in SCUBA diving and underwater cinematography. He also owns a one ton G&E trailer and often works as a gaffer.
